Singer Bonnie Tyler has died at the age of 75.
Back in May she had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal. She was temporarily placed in an induced coma to help her recovery. The UK-born, platinum-selling recording artist was perhaps best known for her hit, “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” which has been viewed over a billion times on YouTube.
A statement posted to her official social media accounts reads “Bonnie’s family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for.”
