Soundgarden’s final album is set to arrive in 2027.
During a conversation with Ultimate Guitar, guitarist Kim Thayil said work has continued on the project they started several years ago and it’ll feature recordings of late singer Chris Cornell. The musician said the album will likely contain eight or nine songs.
Thayil says the album is being completed around the band’s members’ other commitments, which is why they’re aiming for “next year” as a vague release date.
