Nicki Minaj is responding after President Trump made a joke about her during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Friday.
Trump referenced the 2025 White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, joking that Minaj “started twerking” when gunshots rang out. A video of the comments received millions of views on social media and drew backlash for what many considered to be offensive remarks. Minaj later posted an image on X of a Chucky doll wearing a pink wig with a caption joking about seeing the president again.
Minaj has been a vocal supporter of Trump in recent months and attended a high-profile Rose Garden luncheon at the White House earlier this month.
